Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Chicago, IL

This is a position within Accounting Operations established to manage the accurate and timely recording and processing of all collection/billing activities for the organization of Orbitz World Wide.
* Post customer payments by recording checks and credit card transactions.
* Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions from the lockboxes.
* Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from account managers, sales reps and customers.
* Resolves valid or authorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.
* Establish and maintain communications with members whose accounts are past due to encourage prompt payments.
* Prepare and process monthly/quarterly client invoices.
* Prepare and generate various reports per client requests.
* Answer day to day billing related questions.
* Maintain the monthly/quarterly billing files.
* Understand revenue implications associated with various billings.
* Other dues and special projects as assigned."
