Job Description:

• Responsible for the efficient and effective development of shipping plans (according to customer specifications) and ensure effective communication with customers, freight companies, and Managers.
• Develops and maintains positive customer relations by understanding customer needs and contract terms and conditions, by developing and implementing plans to meet those needs, and by demonstrating customer service principles
• Work effectively in a team environment within our furniture suppliers, freight companies and Furniture Design Studios staff
• Keeps Manager informed of current issues within the planning area on a regular basis.
• Ensures that all Furniture Design Studios policies, procedures and controls are followed and that all reports are completed accurately, submitted on time and to appropriate Furniture Design Studios staff, customers and other designated personnel.
• Maintain Import/Export Compliance Programs.
• Provide project analysis and recommended actions to improve service, reduce costs (internal and/or external) or modify procedures or systems to meet specific needs.
• Assist with Carrier/Forwarder negotiations and relationship management."
